One of my favorite ways to exercise is with a DVD my mom found and uses regularly to stay in shape and lose extra poundage. Of what DVD do I speak?
THE BIGGEST LOSER!
I’ll admit I am not their typical customer. I don’t have much weight I need to lose, just some pathetic muscles that could do with building up. But whatever your needs- Bob and co. will address them with their awesome 10-minute workouts on the “The Biggest Loser: The Workout – 30-Day Jump Start” DVD ($13, available in some grocery store DVD sections, Amazon).
Never worked out a day in your life? It’s okay. Do what I did. Exercise for ten minutes a day before your shower in your sleeping shorts and a tank in your bedroom. Sure, you might look a little lame, but when you’ve got a rockin’ bod, no one’s going to be thinking about you sweating it out like a fool on your carpet. When you start to get stronger, up it to twenty minutes. Take it to the living room if you’re feeling proud.
Once you’re at thirty that’s a good enough excuse to go and buy some new workout clothes, and tell your friends about it. Because they are not playing around. You’ll work every part of you. You will have biceps worth bragging about. And the best part? The backup exercise men and women are contestants from the actual TV show, not skinny-minis in colorful spandex with enormous grins rivaling that of Julia Roberts. These “Biggest Loser” folks are feeling the pain right along with you.
Regardless of whether you want to lose weight or shape up, a toned body is a fun body to be in, and a great goal to work towards. Even if it takes baby steps.
