It seems I’m doing a series of mini makeup breakdowns on item songs! Here we’ve got Malaika Arora Khan in “Munni Badnam” from the 2010 blockbuster Bollywood film “Dabangg”. I was more of a “Sheela Ki Jawani” girl myself, but Malaika did look super sizzling in her smash hit song!
To get her look, sweep a matte plummy-brown eyeshadow (MAC Eye Shadow in Quarry) over your lids and up into the crease. Line your lower waterline and upper and lower lashlines with a smudgy black eye pencil (MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder). Smudge the upper lashline line until it covers the lower half of the eyelid. Take a little more of your brown eyeshadow and smudge it into the corners of your eyes outwards to form a cat-eye. Blend well. Re-line your upper lashline to create the illusion of thick lashes. Apply a highlighting powder (MAC Eye Shadow in Nylon) to the browbone. Finish with mascara.
On your cheekbones, use a matte burgundy blush (MAC Powder Blush in Desert Rose). Finish the look with a neutral brownish-pink lipstick (MAC Lipstick in Viva Glam V). To get the dots on your cheeks, use a black liquid or gel eyeliner.
What do you guys think? Should I do a makeup breakdown of Katrina Kaif in “Sheela” from “Tees Maar Khan” just to be fair? 😉
