No self-respecting beauty blog would be complete without a makeup breakdown of the enchanting Vivian Leigh as proud and feisty Scarlett O’Hara in the epic 1939 classic “Gone with the Wind”. The breathtakingly beautiful and talented actress managed to do the impossible by making the film almost as good as (or better than) the Pulitzer Prize-winning book itself (one of my personal favorites)!
To get Scarlett’s southern belle look, apply a light beige-taupe eyeshadow (MAC Eye Shadow in Omega) over the lids and blend upwards. Line the upper and lower lashlines very lightly with a brown pencil and smudge slightly to fade. Curl the lashes and apply plenty of mascara.
Lightly sweep a red blush like MAC Powder Blush in Frankly Scarlet (seriously!) over the cheeks for a natural flush.
Now if only I could figure out how they did her hair… 🙂
