I was flipping through loads of watch catalogues left over from my own watch search as research for a JA Guide to Buying a Watch (coming this Friday!) and came across the catalogue for Longines’ DolceVita line, featuring Aishwarya Rai and Lin Chi-ling (and Kate Winslet).  They both look amazing.  Their makeup is elegant, yet natural at the same time.  You could wear these makeup looks from brunch with girlfriends to picking up groceries to watching your child’s soccer game to having an elegant dinner out.

Face

– Apply moisturizer and sunscreen as usual. Conceal any blemishes or under-eye darkness with your usual concealer.

– Using a foundation brush, apply a liquid foundation (MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation) over skin in downward brush strokes.

– This is a matte look so set foundation and concealer with a translucent powder (Makeup For Ever HD Microfinish Powder).

– To the edges of your cheeks/cheekbones, apply a warm brownish-pink blush (MAC Powder Blush in Sincere). Blend upwards towards the temple.

Eyes

– Apply a shimmery taupe eye shadow (MAC Eye Shadow in Patina) across the lid of the eye.

– Draw a thin line along the upper eye lid, winging out when you reach the outer corner of your eye, with a liquid eyeliner (Revlon ColorStay Eye Liner Pen in Black).

– Curl your lashes (Shu Uemera Eye Lash Curler) and apply a volumizing and lengthening mascara (Lancome Hypnose Drama).

– Apply mascara (Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara) on all your bottom lashes.  Be sure to apply evenly and get all those tiny lashes.

– Lightly fill in brows with a black-brown brow pencil (MAC Eye Brows in Stud).  Brush brows with a brow brush to distribute the color and set brows with a brow wax (MAC Brow Finisher).

Lips

– Get Ash’s pinky-beige lips by wearing her namesake lip stick, L’Oreal Color Riche Star Secrets Lipcolor in Aishwarya’s Beige.
